Welcome to Adult Tap Dancing in Brighouse and Huddersfield
Opened in 1988, the Janet Austin Tappers is the area’s most
established adult-only
tap dancing class providing a fun way to keep fit for anyone aged 16+.
All
abilities of tap dancer are welcome – from the complete beginner to the
more
advanced. Our
separate rooms and
facilities allow us to teach complete beginners the basics before
joining the
regular class. A free DVD is given to all new members
which demonstrates some of the basic steps followed by complete
routines to
help you quickly get up to speed with this exciting form of dance.
A selection of spare tap shoes are available for those
without to borrow.
Class Information
The Tappers meet:
Monday evenings – Waring Green Community
Centre, Brighouse (HD6 2AX),
7.45pm to 9.30pm
Wednesday evenings – Waring Green Community
Centre, Brighouse (HD6 2AX),
7.45pm to 9.30pm
Thursday evenings – The Zone, St Andrew's Road,
Huddersfield (HD1 6PT), 7pm
to 9pm
Classes
at Waring Green Community Centre are £3.50 each (£3 on Wednesday if
Monday is
also attended in the same week).
Classes
at The Zone Huddersfield are £5 each.
Some
Tappers come along to one class, some to others,
some to all – the choice is yours!
